Tomball Texas
Woodlands Roofers – Tomball, Texas
Town History
At Woodlands Roofers, we’re proud to serve the historic community of Tomball, Texas — a city with deep roots and a unique story. Originally named “Peck,” the town was renamed in 1907 in honor of Thomas Henry Ball, a congressman who played a key role in expanding the railroad into the area. That railroad helped fuel Tomball’s early growth, especially in agriculture. But everything changed in 1933, when oil was discovered nearby — transforming the city into a booming energy hub. Today, Tomball balances this rich past with small-town warmth. We especially appreciate the charm of “Old Tomball,” where preserved historic buildings now house antique shops, cafes, and community businesses. Tomball may be growing, but it has never lost the character that makes it special.
Area Sports
Our team at Woodlands Roofers loves being part of a community where sports and recreation are a way of life. Tomball ISD supports a strong athletics program, especially at Tomball High School, which boasts a proud legacy in football, baseball, and track. Beyond school sports, the city is alive with youth leagues and weekend games that bring neighbors together. Whether it’s a pickup game at the park or a spirited high school rivalry, there’s always something happening. For many families here in Tomball, these moments aren’t just about competition — they’re about connection. We see that same spirit when we’re out in the community working on homes and meeting residents who care deeply about where they live.
Local Attractions
Tomball may be a small city, but it’s packed with places worth exploring. We often recommend visitors check out Old Town Tomball — a lively district with antique stores, vintage boutiques, and local coffee shops that feel like home. It’s also where you’ll find seasonal markets and events that fill the streets with food, music, and fun. The Tomball Museum Center is another gem, where restored homes and historic exhibits tell the story of the city’s past. And if you’re into live music, Main Street Crossing is the place to be — part concert venue, part café, and always a community favorite. At Woodlands Roofers, we’re lucky to work in a city that celebrates its culture and supports small businesses like ours.
City Parks
We believe every great city needs great green spaces — and Tomball delivers. The Tomball Railroad Depot Plaza is one of our favorite spots, blending local history with a peaceful outdoor setting. With its historic train cars, covered picnic areas, and regular family-friendly events, it’s the kind of place that brings the community together. Nearby, Juergens Park and Matheson Park offer walking trails, playgrounds, and quiet spots to relax. These parks are more than just scenery — they’re where neighbors meet, kids play, and memories are made. At Woodlands Roofers, we often find ourselves working on homes near these parks, and it’s clear how much they mean to local families.
Major Residential Neighborhoods
Tomball is growing, but it still holds on to the small-town charm that draws so many to the area. With a population of just over 13,000, it’s the kind of place where neighborhoods feel like communities. You’ll find a wide variety of homes here — from classic properties near the downtown core to newer subdivisions on the city’s expanding edges. As more families settle in, we’ve seen a rising demand for home improvements and roofing upgrades. That’s where we come in. At Woodlands Roofers, we’re committed to helping residents keep their homes safe, efficient, and beautiful — no matter the neighborhood. Whether you’re near a park, close to downtown, or tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac, we’re here to help.
